Eric was out of town for work again, but in the studio we had a real deal badass in John “Tig” Tiegen. Tig is a US Marine Corp veteran and survivor of the 2012 Benghazi attack. Tig’s story has been told in the book “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi” and the film “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.” In the news we covered Twitter’s suspension of a spanish politician who had the nerve to say “a man cannot get pregnant,” a good guy with a gun who stopped a mass shooting, and the stark difference between Russian Army & US Army recruiting ads. In Cool stuff, we see the most skilled landscaper ever! This week we’re pissed off at a New York City PBS station for airing some “Drag Queen Story Hour” on a program targeting 3-8 year old children. In sports we lamented the World’s Strongest Man contest’s decision not to have in person spectators. Finally, this week in His Story taught us about Levi Straus’ first brass-rivet jeans, Hitler & Mussolini forming their “Pact of Steel,” and Jesse Owens’ “most exciting 45 minutes in sports.”
